Brian Landis brings more than 40 years of industry and consulting experience to his current role as President of Ancrage Consulting LLC. Prior to starting Ancrage Consulting, Landis helped found the Butler Business Consulting Group and led client service delivery for 13 years. From its inception in August 2006, the Consulting Group engaged its nine professional project managers in 180 projects with more than 100 companies in 21 industries.
Over 30 faculty members and 190 student analysts have participated on project teams to deliver more than 24 consulting offerings in this, the only business consulting firm in the United States run out of a College of Business.
Prior to helping to found the Consulting Group at Butler University in Indianapolis, Landis worked at the global consulting firm Accenture, where he became a partner during his nine years with the firm. Landis specialized in manufacturing and supply-chain improvement, technology implementation, business strategy and large-scale program management. A strong advocate for the benefits of lifelong learning, he coordinated capability development for Accenture’s Chicago-based analysts and participated in several joint programs with universities in Indiana, including his alma mater, Purdue University in West Lafayette, as well as Indiana University in Bloomington.
Landis graduated first in class with a Bachelor of Science degree in Industrial Engineering from Purdue University and received the Krannert Scholar award during an M.S.I.A. in Management from the Krannert School at Purdue University. Landis’ diverse business background also includes 19 years working for three Fortune 500 companies – Alcoa, Detroit Diesel and IBM – in positions such as production manager, production control manager and project manager of both manufacturing improvement and computer systems initiatives.
Brian was on the Board of the International Center of Indiana for over 10 years and currently serves on the Board of Elders of Castleton Community Church. He continues to be an Approved Affiliate of the Old National Bank Center for Business Excellence in the Lacy School of Business at Butler University.
